  1. Tool brand loyalty is a phenomenon exclusive to the first world. Much like car brand loyalty but much simpler. If the tool works and i need it, then I buy it.
    The market in tool sales, and the reason why there are tool salesmen of even ads, is because of aesthetic. Not function with one exception.
    Multi- function tools.
    Even gimmick ones like the wrench he showed or crescent ratchet, or whatever.
    The purpose is to have(hopefully) a tool to take the place of a set. The idea is to keep in your tool bag in your car. Gimmick or not, color/brand dgaf.
    It works, I’m keeping it. It doesn’t? Then it’s not a tool.

    Went to visit my kids this week and didn’t think to bring any tools.
