I use my rotary hammer drill for high-precision fastening.
Thank You! Finally I understood
Love the drill. Used it for years until I worked construction, then it was nothing but the impact. However the impact was definitely the only tool for the jobs we were doing as we were using metal fasteners etc. We used the drill for drilling obviously, but the impact for metal on metal is an absolute must.
The drill is nice for a variety of things. Very large bolts the drill is quicker at driving them. But gotta be careful when you get to the end that it doesnt rip your wrist off.
Just bought an impact for my deck boards and other projects and it really is nice. Less wear on your wrist and its like the tool does the work for you. Getting the old lags off is much easier with the impact. Definitely a must have tool. Dewalt dcf860 is a beast.
How about forstner bit?
All of this also has to do with trigger control. You can use a impact for small fastners just use the trigger correctly
