The Best Starter Tool Kit for Everyone: Affordable Tools You Actually Need

I wanted to build the perfect starter tool kit for my teenage children so they can work on hobbies now and be ready for when they have their own house or apartment.

After months of research, I’ve worked out the top 10 tools I should buy first for my kids to assemble furniture, hang stuff on walls, and do small projects and mapped out a larger toolkit with everything they need to be independent. Disclaimer: I bought all these tools myself except I was provided free samples from Lochby, Nitecore, and Olight to test and really liked them so they were included.

My focus is AFFORDABLE + HIGH VALUE tools that from brands ranging from Harbor Freight, Stanley, Wera, Wiha, Knipex, Klein, Gearwrench and more.

  2. Trying to train your brain into metric system? What does that even mean? πŸ˜… I mean no offese. But 10 mm add up to 1 cm, 10 cm adding to decimeter and 10 decimeter adding to meter. Very simple, easy to subdivide

  3. Wera bit-check tiny handle is mostly useless (It should have been a handle and a 1/4″ extension). The locking stubby extension is a waste of space and functionality. The Milwaukee knife is a space saver in a small pack..but: No blade storage, it takes much more time to deploy/pocket than a classic Stanley carpet knife. The Kaiweets (HT206D) clamp/multi-meter is a bargain and works well. Everything you said was spot on. I was always tempted to do a similar vid….but you nailed it. I’m not trying to take away…just trying to add. Cheers.
